TipDrop.com - The New Social Media Micro Blogging Craze

Well Jonathan Leger has done it again but this time, in my opinion, it's going to make a huge splash in the Internet Marketing world. Introducing TipDrop, a new social media micro blogging site that's gone wild in the past 4 days it's been live. It had 150,000 page views in the first day and as of yesterday July 22/09, 4 days in, had 750,000 page views, this is nothing short of remarkable.

TipDrop is based on the micro blogging concept that Twitter was built on but this has a very unique twist, people create tipsheets with a certain subject title and "tippers" or members write a short message with their tip for that subject. So not only are we creating exposure for ourselves but we are actually picking up some great ideas from each other.

TipDrop has a great way of policing the potential spam that usually invades a social system like this. But all tipsheets and tips are rated with a "credibility" score, so if you see a comment like, "try my new ebook" tippers can rate this down to zero and drop it off the charts. This also affects the tippers profile credibility.

Conversely, if you create good tipsheets and good tips, tippers will rate you up so your credibility grows and more people will listen to what you have to say. Another way TipDrop curbs the spam attacks is it allows you to place 10 links to wherever you want, in your profile, so if people like what you have to say, they visit your profile and can click your links, so it doesn't make sense to spam in the tipsheets.

It doesn't stop there, Jonathan and his people were thinking when they put this puppy together because, not only do they allow you to place links in your profile but they also pay you 75% of the Adsense clicks you get on your profile page, as well as your tipsheets!

You can tell that Jonathan and his team are really pumped about the success of this site, because one tipsheet was created to ask tippers what improvements they'd like to see on TipDrop and several great ideas were posted, but more importantly, the team followed up on those suggestions and made some new changes.

Just in the 4 days TipDrop has been going, they've added messaging functionality, video tips, adjusted the credibility scores and allow you to custom design you profile page with background image, background color, sidebar color and link color.

I think Twitter is great for your business and there's certainly a place for it in your marketing, but hold onto your hats because TipDrop is coming fast and it is a blast to use and read. How powerful is it, in 4 days I have already added it into my daily routine, have received some great ideas, hopefully, have given some great ideas, it got me about 6 new signups to my list, but what really got me is I placed my new site, Internet Marketing Success Camp in my profile and have already seen backlinks from Google and Yahoo, so I'm pretty sure that the search engines will love this site as much as the tippers seem to.
